Cataract Gorge Trail is a steep 7.5 mile hike in the High Uintas. You are pretty much just hiking down a steep rocky road. There is not much shade but it has some nice views & another waterfall you can spot off the side. Apparently if you hike further after the waterfall you can go into the actual gorge, but my husband was absolutely over the hike, so we’ll just have to see other’s photos of that haha. We saw deer on the way, a bunny & lots of butterflies, chipmunks & squirrels. I would not do this trail again to be honest, unless I was driving down the road haha. If you have a high clearance vehicle it would not be bad driving to the destination. I would say it is on the harder side of moderate. The waterfall, Little Deer Creek Falls, was pretty though.
