Lofty Lake Loop is a gorgeous moderate trail in the High Uintas. You can always expect to enjoy this one. We did this counter clockwise this time, I know others prefer going clockwise to get the steep, no lake part done first. But we still liked it! There are many pretty lakes along the ways & fabulous views. Luckily for us, it was not busy early on a Monday morning, we only passed a few other people on the trail. There are some steep rocky parts, but overall not too bad. We saw lots of cute little pika in the rocky areas. They are so cute!
Alltrails shows this at about 4.5 miles but we tracked it at about 6.5 miles… Either way it is well worth the time & has a fabulous payoff for such a short hike! You can easily loop onto other trails for a longer hike as well.
