Hogle Zoo in the Winter

Did you know you can go to Hogle Zoo for $5 through December 29th? You need to buy tickets online & this is only for Monday-Friday! We went last week & had a good time. Some of the animals there are actually more active in the winter months. We got there at 10AM Thursday & were pleased with how empty the parking lot was & how it was so uncrowded. It started to get more crowded by noon. The big cats were up & about, we saw everything except for the giraffes were not out. I tend to radiate towards fuzzy cute things, so I liked the red panda, polar bear, otters & bobcat (so much smaller than I remembered thinking they were!)

Did you know they are a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization? (I didn’t, so just mentioning it haha) And according to their website,  Utah’s Hogle Zoo upholds the highest animal care standards in the world as an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) — a distinction given to only 10% of animal institutions.  We are big time animal lovers, so I am always researching things before we support it. This is a great family outing or date idea! 😊
