Silver Lake is a beautiful, very popular trail up American Fork Canyon. It has multiple water crossings, lovely views & a beautiful lake at the end. There are lots of rocks & roots, and some steep sections. We saw a moose, pika, deer & a hummingbird.
The road to the trailhead is very bumpy & rough, just FYI. Definitely recommend 4 wheel drive, though I admit we have taken my Prius up there, haha.
We tracked this at just over 5 miles total. You can go further on to Silver Glance Lake, it is quite steep, but pretty!
