Redmond Salt Mine Tour, Utah

Did you know there is a salt mine you can tour in Utah?
Located in Redmond, Utah, this is a really neat experience! We got to go last week & see it ourselves! Some things to know when booking a tour (from their site:)

Children under 12 years old cannot go in the mine. The law requires everyone to wear a hard hat. The mine consists of a maze of dark tunnels and you may go 500 feet or more below the surface. You will be with a tour guide, the tunnels are big (there’s plenty of room for our 60-ton haul trucks), and we keep some lights on when people are down there (unless visitors request a blackout). But it is a relatively enclosed, dark space, which can make some people uncomfortable. Tours last approximately 60-90 minutes and the mine maintains a temperature of 60 degrees year-round. Please note that guests do need to stand during the 15-20 minute discussion. The $25.00 per person fee is used to benefit the Redmond Scholarship Funds that are awarded to local high school students in our area.

The tours fill up quickly! The one we were on was completely booked! Really cool experience & would recommend checking it out 🙂 The drive out was fun too, We drove past a field of donkeys, which, of course we had to stop & look at, haha.

Here is the link to sign up! 🙂
