Willow Lake is a pretty & easy hike up Big Cottonwood Canyon. We tracked it at just over 3 miles, it is easy with a few steep spots, but nothing wild. We went mid October, right after the first big snowfall & it was super pretty & quiet- we had the trail all to ourselves. We just did it in our hiking boots, our Yaktrax would have been nice too, but we were OK without them. Nice views & we always love a hike that ends at a lake! We have done this multiple times, you can also go up & over the hill that overlooks it, pretty neat!
