A fun quick hike in Alpine is the Poppy Fields! We took our little dogs on a sunny afternoon to go & check them out. It is an easy trail & family friendly. Definitely a popular spot, so expect crowds if it is accessible this year. Late spring/early summer is the best time to see the blooms. We saw some hummingbirds while we were out there too. If you do visit, please respect the flowers, do not pick or step through them. I believe they got closed off last year for restoration.
