When we were renting with pets, we found it pretty frustrating how hard it was to find anything that allowed pets, and how much more expensive it was (pet fees, extra deposits, etc.) Honestly it pushed us to buy our first home! We were so excited to have a yard for them & in the end it was not too much more expensive & we were building our own equity.
If you have (or want!) pets, it honestly may be worth comparing costs of renting vs. buying!
