Sunset Peak via Catherine’s Pass Trail is a lovely moderate 5 ish-mile hike near Alta. There are definitely some steep sections (you’re hiking a peak haha). There are lovely views & the wildflowers are still beautiful! We saw some cute baby marmots and the wildflowers are amazing. Overall this is a lovely hike & good workout. You will have to pay $12 to park at the Catherine’s Pass trailhead, which has very limited spots.
