Lofty Lake Loop is a gorgeous moderate trail in the High Uintas. You can always expect to enjoy this one. We did this counter clockwise this time, I know others prefer going clockwise to get the steep, no lake part done first. But we still liked it! There are many pretty lakes along the way & fabulous views. We saw marmots & pikas on the trail. There are some steep rocky parts, but overall not too bad. Alltrails shows this at about 4.5 miles but we tracked it at about 6.5 miles. But we do always wander around too, so that may be why, ha.
Either way it is well worth the time & has a fabulous payoff for such a short hike! You can easily loop onto other trails for a longer hike as well.
