How Did We Get Started With Rental Properties?
We get asked often how we got started with rentals, so we are going to share!
•In 2008 we bought our first home, 3% down
•Then we built a new home to move into, and did 5% down
•We kept that old first home & turned it into a rental
•Primary residences have lower down payments required & better interest rates
•From there we kept our eyes peeled for good opportunities around us & saved up since we did not want to move from our new home (you could have more options if you are willing to move every so often)
•To buy a property for an investment typically requires 20%+ down and has a higher interest rate
•We focus on single family pet friendly homes in Provo/Orem and have had good success
